Lock actuator damaged during recall repair?

The passenger door lock actuator acted up for a few days and then just
stopped working. Recently, Ford had the door latches/actuators apart
performing the recall regarding the doors not latching during cold weather. Any
opinions on whether the recall repair might have shortened the life of the
actuator?  The truck has 49K miles.  Thanks.

I called the Service Department and was referred to the Service Manager. He explained that they were swamped and he would call me when they are better prepared to check it out.
