what are differences in the bmw 5 series sedans 28i, 530i, 535i, 540i

Question type: Car Customization

7,745

The last two numbers are engine designations. Before they got a little nutty, the "28" used to stand for 2.8 liter. Now because car companies like BMW no longer care to make any sense, it indicates a 2.0 liter. Or that might be "30" now. Either way, it's an engine designation.
