driving up road as you step on the pedal van bogs down like it's starving for fuel
it holds back and go's no faster ,wait 5 seconds with foot on pedal and van
picks up speed like normal.

Sounds like fuel volume problem . Check filter before you condemn pump or associated hoses on sender.
