1998 GMC Suburban 1500

I stopped fast  so wouldn't hit car in front of me
tried to put truck in reverse it wouldn't shift so just
drove home it runs fine just won't go in reverse.
Didn't hit nobody car but I do need breaks do u
think it's the breaks?

If you motor mounts or transmission mounts are going bad the engine could have moved and caused the shifter to go out of adjustment.
