2015 Subaru Forester Rear Gate

Asked by Cameron Jan 09, 2020 at 08:49 PM about the 2015 Subaru Forester 2.5i Touring

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Just bought my 2015 Forester about 6 months
ago, never had an issue with it. Currently when I
pop the automatic rear gate and close it, it disables
all the buttons on my key fob for approximately 30
seconds. This happens when the car is off, which
means I have to stand by the car and wait after I
grab something out of the trunk before I am able to
lock it. Anyone have any ideas?

Install a new fob battery and see it if helps.

Already replaced battery. Just wanted to check if anyone else has experienced this before I pay the dealership to diagnose it.
