If property maintained, and you change your oil every 6,000 miles...don't overload it and put a strain on the engine you should get at least 200,000 miles....

Just my 2 cents worth --- if you want to get 200k miles out of it change the oil more often.

My 2006 crew cab 4cyl 2.8 has 320k. Runs and drives great with no leaks!. Only issue is I have to run 20-50 oil in the summer to keep oil pressure. That started around 250k. I switch back to recommended in the fall.

My 2005 had the original motor in it with about 203,000 on it. The timing chain went bad, so had to replace it with a different one. Now, it has an 06 3.5 in it with about 58,000 on it. I've hauled 3,100 pounds with it. Truck didn't like it but it never gave me a problem while hauling that. Not one spec of rust on the truck either besides in the bed which is normal for a truck without a bedliner in it.

I have a 2005 extreme with the 3.5cyl. Just hit 205,000 miles on it. Bought it a 40,000 miles used. Have driven it almost everyday for ten years. Runs great. I travel out of state once a week & log 200-300 miles on those days. Have been on multiple 600+ mile road trips. She doesn't complain. Missed the transmission fluid change awhile back but no problems. Change oil every 3,000 miles like clockwork with high mileage oil. About to buy a nice 5x8' trailer to pull behind it for my e-commerce business & will have to put a transmission cooler on it but hope to see it past 300,000 miles. Have replaced the battery once, alternator once, rear axle bearing on each side once & that's it.

I have a 07 Colorado. Bought it used with 34k miles I'm at 123k miles. I have changed the oil every 5k and did a full "filter and oil change on the transmission at 110k miles." Did it myself, super easy. The truck is paid off and I'm going to take care of it till. It gives out. 123k as of now runs like new. I'm hoping for 200k or 300k sad to say. I'm done with GM. After this truck I'm going Toyota. The new Colorado's 2017+ are crap. Imo

2005 Canyon, Z85 4x4, 3.5 I5 with, today, 329000 miles. Special ordered with what I wanted. I maintained scheduled maintenance through the first 150K, then switched to synthetic blend or full synthetic oil changes every 6-7K miles. As far as major ticket problems, I had to replace water pump once, power steering and most PS hoses, the front hubs (at 310K), and my gas tank (at 250K). Got played by a dishonest dealer service tech on rear brakes at same time as gas tank (he broke the parking brake cable when he "had to pry off the drums, and had to replace them" but couldn't explain how it could have gotten so bad in less than a year since last inspection). Have had my share of self-service jobs like brakes, EVAP solenoid, spark plugs, IAT/MA sensor, O2 sensors (lasted 300K!), power window motor, electrical wiring in driver's side doors (extended cab). Recently had to take it to a shop for a misfire on cylinder 4 that the new coils I installed didn't cure - that turned out to be a short in the electrical harness (repaired, not replaced). Would I buy this truck again? Absolutely. Never had to have it towed to a shop; always gets me where I need to be.

I have an 06 Colorado Crew Cab 5 Cylinder 3.5L Engine. Bought it used in 2011 with 52K on it and just rolled over 195,000 mi. She still runs great. Over the last 5 years little things here and there, replaced both front window motors, timing belt, fuel pump, and thermostat, otherwise, no major issues. She still runs smooth, is great on gas (I'm still getting about 350- 375 mi per tank), and I change my oil every 3,000 mi and that seems to keep her happy. Chevy did a nice job with this in line 5, good solid motor, good transmission, great fuel economy, and just the right amount of hauling and towing power for small-medium jobs. If you want a reliable mid-size pickup that's easy and cost friendly to maintain, I definitely recommend a Colorado.

'09 Colorado with the I5. Original owner. I just rolled 336,000 on the dash. Original engine and trans. Neither have been opened other than a rear main seal at about 140k (and it needs another one...). Religious on oil changes. Synthetic about every 7,000 miles. Trans fluid never changed. I have replaced a lot of the "externals" over the years, like water pump, thermostat, plugs, throttle body (twice), alternator, power steering pump, etc.. None of which were a big deal for a "shady tree" mechanic. Other than a flat tire, it has never left me on the side of the road. It won't die! But I am going to drive it until it does.

I have a 2005 GMC Canyon with over 220K miles on it. The power steering fluid leaked all over the rack & pinion, resulting in the need to replace the tie-rod ends. Rear axle seal needs to be replaced. Need a new power steering pump and hose. Cost to fix is $2300. I am hoping that nothing else pops up.

06 Colorado crew cab inline 5...325000 miles. I think it needs a new motor, she's been so dependable the past 17 years, Ive grown found of this truck and when the time comes I'm going to replace the motor and keep her going. Also...the AC blows ice cold and has never needed maintenance. Of course other wear and tear over the years, nothing too major.
