Putting a dvd player in a 2014 Town & Country Touring

Asked by Judy Jan 16, 2015 at 02:02 PM about the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country Touring FWD

Question type: Car Customization

We just bought a new to us Town & Country Touring and it has the three storage
compartments on the ceiling, is there any easy, affordable way to put dvd players in two
of these?  It looks like the cd player plays dvds too as it says dvd on it and I'd like just to
basically put screens in the storage compartments.

mopar.com says that the dvd player is roughly $1000 to $2000. So it depends on what is affordable to you

Guess the better question is not affordability on the system itself given it's already so expensive, the question is if I take that storage unit in the center of my van out Can I put the DVD system in without doing any extra BS

Extra BS meaning changing the wiring from the DVD system to the screens of top

Same question here. I have a 2011 and have a dvd player. Have the overhead console with four compartments. 2 for the headphones and 2 fillers for where the screens would go. Can I just buy two screens from a previous 2011 and fit them in there and would that work?

I looked at a few in the junk yard I could NOT see any extra wiring above outside of the light strip. So I have to assume you have to add everything.

Go to the junk yard, find a unit with the dual TV's, remove the unit with the single tv and it's plug and play. Just did it a couple days ago. It cost me 90 bucks.
