Can someone show me how an EGR valve on a Ford Escort 2002 zx2, looks
like, please?

Look the part up online or check with your parts store to see one. They look a lot like a small donut, fastens with two bolts, has one small vacuum line, and 3/4" diameter exhaust bypass tube running into it. If is it failing there should be a fault code confirming that. They are cheap and easy to replace.
