My 2014 Toyota Corolla radio stopped working

I would pull the radio fuse for several minutes and then reinstall it. Make sure you have the radio security code before you do this.

Thanks, I don't know how to find the radio security code and since my screen only shows a picture of an Entune radio display I'm not sure I'd be able to punch in a series of numbers, unless after I put the radio fuse back in it reboots the system??

The same thing happened to my 2014 Corolla as well! Less than 68000km. Took it to the dealership and the said I had to replace the unit...$1625! NOT HAPPY!

I have had the same problem.....car isn't even paid for yet!

Turned out mt stereo was done..toyota replaced it but i had to pay half.

I am having the same issue. I have 110, 000 miles, I still owe on the car. Is there a resolution to the problem without the high cost?

Well forget it you go to the dealers and they would say that the radio gave up that it time with 4 yrs old car and Toyota please and to replace it is 7000dlls or refurbished is 3000dlls thats a big joke have of the car costs.. And what's really weird that are many people with this problem and they wont recall the stereos!!!

I have a similar issue. My heat/air control stopped working. Dealership said the motor needed replacing ($1500!). Also, my sunroof needs a new motor, and the radio needs a new motor (but the only problem I have with the radio area is that the touchscreen doesn't work on the bottom half)! So I didn't even ask the price to replace those two things. If this car is only 6 years old and about 79k miles why are all the motors dying??? I feel I was sold a lemon (but used, so I can't take them to court). They need to recall the whole damn car! Which motor will die next?!

Sad that so many have complained about the same problem and no one is trying to do anything about it, yes they should recall! Heat went out last year 2018 in the winter and next year 2019 my radio system. I absolutely love music so when my screen completely went out on me I cried like a baby.. literally... I already know that the dealership will kill my pocket if I take it to them. So I am forced to bring a bluetooth speaker with me everywhere I go.. The frustration over my car radio going out sucks everytime I get in it. Don't want another Corolla for this reason. So very unfair, so if you don't know someone cheaper your best choice is the dealership... convenient for them... unfortunate for you.

So replacing the unit fixes the issue right?

I’m having the same issue with my freaking radio. Went out October 2019. It flashes the progress line nonstop which is extremely distracting and I fear it’ll cause an accident.

I've removed the fuse from the box under the hood and replugged. No change. I also loaded update files from the Toyota site into a USB stick and plugged to the USB port near the great shift. No change. Finally I plugged my phone to the USB port and changed the settings to file retrieval no change. I'll keep you posted if a solution presents itself. Definitely feels like a software issue.

I am experiencing the same problem. I just held down the the volume button for a few second to force it into a “soft reset” and it worked for a few seconds. I had just enough seconds to lower my volume and change the radio station before it stop responding again.
