my 2005 envoy denali shifter just came out.

It can be put back into it's socket and used, but it just lifts out if i'm not careful. I can't see what is going on because of the cover over the console where the shifter goes in. Is there an an article or video I can use to see if I can fix this myself?

That's the automatic transmission with the floor shift? See pic for better explanation
