Ford Windstar 2003 air conditioner

At idle air conditioner works normal when you hit the gas air conditioner goes
to defrost what is the fix

There is a vacuum leak. It could be anywhere between the blend door actuator and the vacuum tank. I would start by inspecting the vacuum tank and the line that goes to it.

Also look for the vacuum check valve. A bad check valve will cause mode shifting as well. Hope that helps! Jim
