2014 sprinter 2.1L engine noise

I have 2014 2.1L sprinter van it has 108000 miles. recently, when I start in
morning engine start making loud noise for about 8 seconds and it stops. does
any one know what could be the problem?

Is it just the diesel clatter or something else?


Sounds are almost impossible to diagnose over the internet. I suggest you have someone that knows diesels listen to it.
