2006 envoy key wont turn and steering in unlocked

My 2006 envoy will not let the key
turn to start the vehicle and my
steering wheel is not locked do i
need to replace the iginition
switch or how do i disengage it
from the iginition cylinder or
bypass it so i can start my vehicle

So hello this crazygirl desperatly needs some help... I do not know how to get my lock cylinder and switch out when i cannot turn the key to the run position to turn the hex.. Gow can i bypass this step so i can replace this part can someone PLEASE HELP ME OUT WITH A DIAGRAM OR INSTRUCTIONS PLEASE...
