Front pump failure means a total teardown and rebuild, but check it's not a failure of the torque converter first. (they can strip and not be able to turn front pump shaft.) The age-old question is, rebuild your tranny or buy a reman tranny or a used replacement? A used compatible replacement is the cheapest route, but you never really know what you're getting. I'd have your tranny computer diagnosed then you can decide worth repairing or replacing.

I agree. First have your tranny computer diagnosed before you decide. A replacement will be the most inexpensive way, but it is also a gamble.
