Truck won't start

Asked by GuruBTDY3 Dec 17, 2018 at 06:51 PM about the 1987 Ford F-150 XLT Lariat Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I replaced my solenoid and the battery. But the
truck clicks when I try to start it. I don't think the
starter is bad because it has been working fine this
whole time.  What's going on?

The "clicks" indicate the battery is not delivering enough power to turn the starter against the resistance of the engine. Try jumping from a running vehicle of putting in another battery with enough CCA rating for your car (preferably a new one).
