Transmission take too long to change gears

Transmission goes into first gear.  It will go 25  
miles an hour before it will change again do you
know what the problem is. Does it have a
modulator or is it lectronic

It could , but you could be low on fluid or if the car has high miles you may want to do a fluid change, including the filter..
