i have a 1988 jaguar xjs with the 5.3L v12 h.e. and i was wondering if theres
something before the ignition coil that can cause no spark with a new ignition
coil i also replaced the starter relay

Check the cap and rotor and the coil wire going to the cap.

alright im not getting spark from the ignition coil totally is there a saftey switch or something for the ignition system?

The coil only sparks when triggered to spark by the engine control system. Check for spark at a plug while someone turns the engine over.
