Slow take off

Question type: General

I bought a 87 300zx, has 113k. Automatic. 3.0 v6
non turbo.Runs and drives great. However it has no
take off lower. Even in the rain on an oily spot the
car won't even try to spin tires. Doesntt start to
pick up speed until 35 mph. Is this normal or can
someone tell me something I can do to get a little
more acceleration at start?
