Hey ya'll I have a 1987 300zx I dont understand how the two fuel gages work when the primary gage reads emty it only takes 6 gallons so is that when the secondary guage comes in i dont know but there is no gage neddle that i can see on thesecondary gage

They are 2 seperate gages. The secondary gage should start showing about the time you get to a 1/4 of a tank. The sending units on these cars go out... If you buy a new one it will be an updated unit that is more reliable.

I just sold an '87 300 turbo and put tons of miles.the gas tank is not ever suppose to go dry.It is like 1/5 tank size.If u were to drive on E it would drop down after a few miles have about another 4-5 gallons left.I also got 90miles per quarter tank,F through E.No reserve,no cruise control.My little Japanese Red Corvette
