buying a 2013 Honda CRV EX-L (64,000 kilometers) ... should I pay an extra 2,000 for the Honda dealership extended bumper to bumper warranty 5 year or 125,000 km coverage ?

Bumper for 5 years or 125,000 from the date I buy it.

Probably worth it, although it will expire right about the time you'll really need it (125K km).

CrVs are extremely reliable and do not call for a timing belt till 150k.. miles that being said no one can predict the future .if the warranty is Honda backed then it might be worth it. If it's a third party warfanty I think I'd take my chances on its stellar reliability and save the 2000 ..

Spend the.money on an after market skid/underplate. Usually about 200.usd.and a really good set of tires . Should be fine .but if it is something that will keep you up at night get the warranty . (Peace of mind is better than a sleepless night ) good luck
