Which fuse is for the lighter socket in a 2013 Jetta

Asked by ajbellacola Jul 08, 2015 at 10:41 PM about the 2013 Volkswagen Jetta SE with Conv and Sunroof

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The Owner's Manual for my 2013 Jetta does not have a diagram of the fuse box. I need to
find the lighter socket fuse. Thanks

You probably figured this out by now but it's space 30 - top row (20 amp fuse). I have a 2013 2.5 SE. The socket wasn't live when I bought the car (it was a rental). Replaced the fuse and no problems for months now. I think a piece of foil may of fallen into the socket. Not sure if that would short it out or not. I had the same problem you have, couldn't find the info anywhere but finally got the info somewhere online, pulled the fuse and it was fried. Good luck!

Number 30 the right fuse for the 2013 Jetta cigarette lighter or car charger. A five minute project for a ford or chevy just turned into 3 hours because VW does not post the information on their fuse box anywhere. Absolutely ridiculous and just designed to waste your day or money to go to a dealership.

I'm having this problem as well. All fuses, under dash AND hood are good. Still no power. I'm thinking it might be the sockets them selves. Any answeres.

My fuse in my 2013 Jetta was the 30amp on the top of the row on the big fuse side, counting from the left side top it’s the 6th one , for the lighter fuse.

Maybe not a piece of foil but if you have pennies around it that definitely did it so every once in awhile just checking there and make sure y'all know pennies so if you keep change stored on your door or in the back seat on the floor but nowhere near any USB ports lighter socket or you're definitely going to be changing your views on the

My son dropped a penny in his and it must have shorted out both cigarette outlets (front and back). The 20 amp fuse in space 30 was actually fine. It was the 25 amp in space 28 that was fried. Replaced it and everything works fine now.

I have a 2013 Jetta, what fuse is for the low beam lights?

In the 2015 I looked at today, the three rows of shorter fuses are on the right side when looking at the fuses. No problem, I just turned the diagram upside down. Easy fix.

I found the following link helpful. It lists diagram codes for 2011 and those since 2012. https://fusesdiagram.com/volkswagen/fuses-and-relay-volkswagen-jetta-6.html 2013 Headlamp low beam if F39 (20A). Review the (since 2012) diagram if the issue is day running lights, fog lights, or high beams.

Hi, I have a 2012 Jetta SE. All the buttons on the heat/cool unit are working and lighting up as usual (like both seat warmer buttons, the interior air circulation button etc) EXCEPT the AC button that doesn't light up. As a result, the AC is only blowing hot air. What do you think the issue is? If a fuse, which fuse is it?
