maybe the coupe is geared differently for better performace than the sedan? you could look up performance specs. to see if the coupe has more horse power or torque. check 0-60 times to see if the coupe is any faster better performance usually means worse fuel mileage.

Maybe people buying a two door are younger and drive faster than four door owning family guys.

the 2013 coupe is much different than the 2013 sedan (sedan is restyled) it has a different cvt with different ratios like the sentra it should be closer to the mileage of the 2012 sedan.
