Mileage at 68,750. Can I delay repair for awhile? Dealer wants $1,000 for job.

Thanks. Any recommended time in months or mileage I can put off repair if oil level kept where needed?

If the engine is smoking from a lot of oil dripping onto the exhaust you should not wait.
