on my 1966 gto how can I open manal trunk without a key ?

car been sitting 40 years- key broke off - no eng.  trans.  electric   need in trunk to start restore

Remove the back and get a long thin rod that will make it to the lock assembly and open it that way...

don't know what rod does-- nothing for me.. had to cawl into trunk & unbolt latch-- that worked..
