Code P0455 LARGE EVAP LEAK

Check engine light came on after leaving work a couple days ago. Auto Zone Scanner picked up code P0455. Also I had been ignoring a faint gas smell before this happened. Really only noticed it at home after driving my vehicle... Thinking and praying it was coming from another vehicle in the yard that is no longer in use.

When you say vent control valve... Are you speaking of the vapor canister purge valve?
