Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 Kia Optima LX no longer starts it
takes a while for you to jump it I just replace
the engine I replace the starter I replace the
alternator I replace the battery unfortunately
I did not know anything about the tool that
you're supposed to use to take the battery
off at this time. My car no longer starts
every time I part is replaced the car starts I
can leave it running but as soon as I turn it
off it will not turn back on none of the lights
come on I can no longer jump the car by
placing the negative cable on to the
negative battery post I have to ground it to
the frame of the car in order for any type of
power to circulate to the car so I'm not sure
if the negative post is out on my car does
anyone have a similar issue or any idea of
what I should do to get my car running? My
car has a fuse on the positive but looks like
it has a weird chip on the negative post.

That "chip" is the ignition relay switch. If it is having ground wire issues then more than likely the ground wire isn't being properly grounded. In that picture you can see the big black wire being ran to the frame. Pull that wire and with a steel wool pad or some fine grit sand paper, clean the clamp, the post, the bolt, the frame, and the bolt connector. If that doesn't work then start checking for other grounds that aren't properly grounded. Usually you should have 4 grounds through out the electrical system.

I connected the battery back to the car and it seems to be fine but my inside light's at the top flickers when they are on or mostly when the AC is on. Any thoughts on that???
