Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Can feel slight popping in steering column when tires are straight and turnining left. While backing out of driveway to the right, some times it's as if no power steering when turning back to left.

Could be several things. Could be your power rack, or it could be one of your inner or outer tie-rod ends. Have it checked by a mechanic before you replace anything. There may even be a problem with the power steering pump but I would guess from your description that it is in the rack or the linkages to the front steering knuckles behind the wheels.
