How does the lane alert work?

Asked by HuronMKT Sep 10, 2014 at 11:57 AM about the 2013 Lincoln MKT EcoBoost AWD

Question type: General

We purchased a 2013 MKT in June.  We have not been able to make the lane alert work.  We have taken the car back to the dealer several times.  Each time we get the car back they say it works fine.  My husband is ready to trade the car in for something else if we can not get this to work.  We have had other electrical glitches and think it may be the main computer.  We have read the owners manual and can only get the system set but never react when we deliberately try to set it off.  Any help would be appreciated.  I love the car.

Are you pushing the button above the gear shifter that activates the system? Lane alert does not come on automatically.
