Click on each number section and pages to get to all complaints as it is not set up like a normal site, it may not look like link to click. It has 2 recalls you need to confirm about done or not in which one of those is a recall for side air bags. So investigate fully, Glad you ask.

Here is a quote from the site above. ""There have been 13 known fatalities in regards to these recalls and GMC is remaining quiet. What else are they remaining silent about.""

Let me remind you of the GM bailout and all the complaints even o the news not just internet news either that informed us in 2009-2014 of multiple complaints worse than the complaint about other auto makers that only recieved 1-2 complaints and recalls were issued by gooberment but few it any issued for GM and many were hundreds of the same issue, On ewas the one where a $2 part was failing and it was causing accidents that killed I think the number was in the 20's confirmed and many more suspected to be the cause. This is what had them in the news for a year. They never did get a recall for it as hard as the public tried the gooberment protected GM from it.

These recall were issued by GM not the Gooberment as with 99% of all other recalls, They were only forced to do so by lower level courts granting the victims so wins in court so to make it look better for them they started doing recalls and only then otherwise they would not of recalled nothing they waited in some cases ten years to act, and some of these later model are yet to be recalled and are refusing to act on these so far since the gooberment has giving them get out jail cards. I personally would not reward them one red cent, by a Ford or Import. Imports face much more scrutiny and are safer size per size Auto's they are safer and get recalled by Gooberment in a flash second on only 1 or 2 complaints. Ford makes a few I do not like, Explorers are junk.

Quote from CNN after court hearing "General Motors will pay $900 million to settle criminal charges related to its flawed ignition switch that has been tied to at least 124 deaths." Thats just one part failure. After the gooberment Bailout. In which gooberment never issued a recall, Gm issued their own recall before this court hearing got under way to help their own cause.

When it says the auto makers name and a recall it means that auto maker decided to recall themselves. All others are recalled by: https://www.recalls.gov/nhtsa.html

There actually two GM's the one that got bankrupted and to face liability and the new one restructured by the Gooberment to save the name and we the people (gooberment still owns 60% of it), it tried to separate itself from liability from courts did (later) rule in behalf of the consumers(us). So the former owners of Gm do not own or run it anymore, its ran by a new corporate entity called NGMCO Inc. As part of the terms of sale, NGMCO, Inc., changed its name to “General Motors” and kept all of GM’s brands, logos, and trademarks. In one fell swoop, GM ceased to be GM, the troubled corporation with a pile of liabilities, and became GM, the newer, leaner corporation that conveniently left all its liabilities sitting in a trash. The “Old GM” still had to clean it up. The New GM, about 60% owned by the U.S. Department of the Treasury, promptly shed jobs, dealerships, manufacturing facilities, and car brands. (Remember Pontiac, Saturn, Hummer, and Saab?) Several states’ attorneys general filed an objection to the liability exception part of GM’s bankruptcy agreement, saying that potential later accident victims could lose “key legal rights” if it went through. Currently consumers are aware of the problems, but the defective GM cars are still on the road. GM is paying meager fines of $7000 per day (from their 2013 revenue of $3.8 billion) for each day they miss their deadline for providing data to NHTSA. Which is in bed with Gm new Inc. (gooberment) and may never be resolved.

Just traded my 2013 acadia denali (40,600 miles). It took 3 months with various parts and trips to service dept to get the blindspot detector fixed. Bad bearings front driver. Then a few more months and blindspot out again. There were a few other minor problems but all under warranty. Then the warranty expired. Struts replaced $600, headlight replaced almost $400, other side wheel bearings. Just before I traded, the blindspot needed service again. I loved the car and ride but sick of repairs under warranty and the money pit it was turning into out of warranty.

I like the styling of the 2013 Acadia Denali, it is shame that to get an American auto that is dependable we have to look for pre 1970 models.
