Y does my 2001 dodge dakota
quad cab smell like something's
on fire after I just changed to
cap and rotor and spark plugs

Check the spark plug wires. Make sure none are sitting on the hot exhaust manifold. Is the engine misfiring? If so you're smelling the catalytic converter overheating. Hope that helps! Jim
