Overheating

Just did a water pump today replace the
thermostat as well and radiator cap. Vehicle is
overheating right from the get go as soon as I
started up and it gets warm the needle just wants
to pin and the temp gauge. Electric Fan is kicking
On and there is no water dripping out of the
exhausts to tell me it is a head gasket. Tell me
please what it could be that I do something stupid
putting it back together. Did I not add enough
antifreeze? Need this vehicle to be able to run
without overheating please help

You have air in the system. How to bleed. Remove cap from overflow tank and fill with antifreeze to full mark leave cap off and start vehicle and let idle once vehicle starts to reach operating temp thermostat starts to open antifreeze level in tank will drop add more antifreeze to full mark then put cap back. Also you will notice antifreeze level start to rise in tank this is normal and will drop once thermostat starts to open.
