Thought I would come back and try to help out a few others. Long story short....my 2012 Kia optima cut off while driving and would not start. I had my mechanic check everything and he could not find the problem. He tried to turn the engine but it was seized. Just so happen that day, while he was working on my car I got a letter in the mail from Kia about a recall that would cause the engine to seize up.(crazy right?) I took it to the dealer and the ran test and now Kia is replacing the engine at no cost to me. They are even providing a rental until the repairs are completed.
