2.7 starts ticking after it warms up

Probably an air bubble in the cooling system. There is a bleeder valve in the front center of the engine that you can open to release the air, however I would only do this as a last resort as these bleeders are known to break very easily. Here is what you do. First, make sure you have a full coolant resevoir (up to the "max" line) Heat the car up and once it starts ticking rev the car up to about 2000 rpm for about 30 seconds or so. You should see the heat gauge to up to the halfway point which is where it should be at normal overating temperature. Do this as many times in a row as you need to so that the air blowing out of the vents on the dash board is as hot as you would expect it to be at full operating temp. Shut the car down and let it completely cool. (should take a minimum of 4 or 5 hours, longer if you are in a very warm climate) Once it has cooled open the resevoir and you should see the level has dropped. Fill it full again and repeat this procedure until the clicking has stopped

Don't know if you got this fixed or not, but I got a car with the same problem and it turned out to be the timing chain tensioner. Fixed that problem..lol, but now got to figure out why the tranny downshifts after you drive for a little while. Hope this helped in some way.
