2012 Nissan Armada code U0101

Asked by Shockley1012 Oct 06, 2018 at 03:52 PM about the 2012 Nissan Armada Platinum 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When trying to accelerate the car while not move,
then 4wd light comes on, then the car will jump
into gear. Check engine light is on. Once out of
2nd gear the car will drive fine. The code reads lost
connection to TCM. Any idea where to start
looking to try to fix the issue? Rather than taking it
to the Nissan Dealership. Truck has 80,000 miles.
Recently just changed 2 ignition coils and all spark
plugs. Truck ran fine for about 3 weeks after the
change. Issues started right after I hit a pot hole, if
that helps! Any advice please?

It could be your IPDM "power module" its the relay and fuse box under the hood closest to the firewall or the engine start relay. If none of those are bad then maybe your starter

Does your cruise control work? If you have adaptive/intelligant cruise control... could be bad laser. Unplug the laser (located on front bumper). Car will run normal with it unplugged, just no cruise control.
