2004 dodge neon problems

My neon just start tonight. When I took off it got
too 50 mph an it won't go faster than that u can
floor it an it just cuts out spits an shudders only
after 50 mph everything else is fine does anyone
know what this could be

Cam Shaft Position Sensor, I've changed mine at least three times over the past 8 1/2 years. It's a cheap part you can change it yourself. It's mounted on the driver side of the engine, at the top just behind the PCV valve. Four little bolts and an electric connector. If you have big hands you may have to pull the battery as it's a tight little space.
