Fuel pump or filter

Asked by truckya7111 Sep 16, 2014 at 08:18 PM about the 2000 Jeep Cherokee Sport 4-Door 4WD

I can't see a fuel filter only thing is a box
that has 3 tubes leading to it. Dosent look
like a normal filter . Wondering if it's the
pump or what it is it will drive about a mile
or so then when I give it gas it dies.

Dam OK wish I could put a pic on here. But what if I can't find a filter. Should I just do the pump than?

To answer your question about the fuel pump, yes you do need to drop the tank to replace it.
