Question type: Maintenance & Repair

A few days ago I heard a loud clicking sound while I was driving.  I turned the engine off and it went away.  A few days later I started the vehicle and heard it at the start.  Turn the engine off and couple of times and went away.  Now a couple days later I hear it again. Turned engine off and no noise again. What could this be?

I have my oil changed at the dealership every 3000 miles so it isn't that. I have no dashboard warning light that comes on.
