Abs light and soft break pedal

Asked by Swadon Aug 15, 2019 at 08:58 PM about the 2005 Dodge Dakota SLT Club Cab 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Abs light on.  New caliper, rotors pads on front, new
master cylinder, new rear shoes and drums on.2005
Dakota.   Break lines all bled many times.  Still have to
pump breaks to stop.

The abs unit may have to be activated for the bleeding with a special scan tool , if that doesn't help the unit may have to be replaced $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ , hopefully not

do you lose or have to replace the brake fluid at all? what about leaky slave cylinders? Also, you can bleed many times and not get all the air bubbles out depending on your technique and skill level. Are you certain there are no bubbles in the system?
