Hi there is a relay that feeds the tail lights its possible the relay is bad or the control side of the relay is missing (the ground) pin 85... here is a wiring diagram to help you also all the lights in the rear (Stop,Backup, turn signals and tails which you don't have ) share the same ground so I don't think its a ground problem....//hope this helps

I am having the same issues with my 09 dodge charger...I did replace my original headlights with led lights, which I was informed after the fact that this causes issues...but no one has been able to inform me on how to correct the problem of my running lights not working...any information about how to correct it would be helpful...

It's your fuse box relay MODULE that big silver thing stuck to your fuse box, thats the cause of several things that might not be working especially your tail lights, it's common thing unfortunately with the chargers, I just replaced mine and boom, amazing fix, ebay should have them, or maybe a junk yard just search FUSE BOX RELAY MODULE...good luck.

The wire that runs along the inside of rear bumper has clips the corrode or break. The wire slip down at hits the exhaust. This makes the brake running light short out. You really need to be up under it to find it. On my 2007 srt I could see it I had my 10 year old look at he found it. I jacked it up and pulled wire tighter where in comes in under the carpet along the rear of trunk until I had time to remove bumper

2007 Dodge Charger...tail lights keep going out....fuse (15 amp) keep burning out. On the Dodge car models 2005-2010 they have the same wiring path. It's a short caused by the licence plate light wire falling on top of the exhaust. In the trunk...remove passenger side panel...you will see the wires to the tail light and under that you will see a boot with 2 wires...THOSE WIRES ARE HELD UP INSIDE THE BUMPER with a clip...SO unplug the tail light and remove it so you can have access between the bumper and car...the plug should be clipped to the body inside the bumper area. If it is already unclipped...good chance the wire is sitting on the exhaust. Pull the boot out and gently pull the wire into the trunk..INSPECT those wires (look for melted plastic and or bare wires. Cut out the melted section(s) of wire(s) ...re-connect and feed the wire back into the hole...Clip it in the bumper area (AGAIN accessing the area between bumper and body of the car) and then re-insert the boot...Re-install the tail light and plug it in...Replace the burnt fuse and turn on the lights and check to see if both tail lights and licence plate light are on...If they work replace the panel and you are good to go :)

So I check the fuses (both 8 and 19), the relay, and connections to the fuse boxes... I grabbed my multimeter and started to test connections and realize I wasn’t getting power to the taillights and signals.. so I unplugged the pig tail coming out of the rear section of the car and plugged it back in, now we got action.. hope this helps
