My 2012 Chevy Malibu won't start

Asked by JayyCee18 Dec 29, 2018 at 10:16 AM about the 2012 Chevrolet Malibu LS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2012 Chevy Malibu won't start. I placed it in park and it shut off. Thought it may be the gas but after putting gas in the car, taking he battery cable off for about 5 mins and changing the starter relay fuse the car still will not start.

Is there a chance the anti theft is active? Does it at least crank? Does it crank but not fire up? Check that you have proper voltage to the starter, see pic on how to do a voltage drop test.
