Sounds like a bad spark pack or plug. Its more likely a bad coil pack then a plug but if the engine is misfiring it can cause all the plugs to foul out. Have the car scanned by a vw/audi certified shop with vagcom/rosstech software and find which cylinder is miss firing. Replace the plugs first to see if it corrects the issue if not replace the cylinders coil pack and you should be good.

Just found out the coil pack on one of the spark plugs is causing the problem. We are having them all replaced just to be safe.

I got an engine light on for few days now. A shop diagnosed it as "multiple cylinders misfire..". It can be coils, plugs or a fuel filter... I added a fuel filter chemical cleaner in the gas tank yesterday. Shaking seems to be better, but the engines seems to be little bit louder when working. The light is still on. Can I ignore it for a week or two? Is it safe to drive?

where exactly did you get the car looked at? if it was not a vw certified shop they are only guessing whats wrong since they wont have the proper diagnostic equipment. first thing i would try is changing the plugs to new ones and see if it helps second thing would be to run the gas out till that chemical cleaner is out of the system. you have to be careful with what you put in a vw's gas tank. somethings can cause more harm then good with a vw. 2010 vw jetta's run on single coils for each spark plug so try to get the car scanned for the misfire and swap that cylinders coil pack to another hole and see if it follows the coil pack if it does replace it. If the shaking persists you may need to de carbon the engine. The plastic intake manifold tends to get loose and it causes carbon build up at the intakes. try to simply tighten the intake first and see if it helps. this video is for a 2.0 audi but the engine is the same one. you will need a custom alen key to tighten the bolts.. https://www.youtube.co/watch?v=c7c35MJq5e0
