What would cause the issues below?
Today while accelerating to climb a bridge, I felt a short time frame of ‘bucking’
until I let up on the gas. It then stopped, but occurred again several more
times on level surfaces. I know this is not normal, but wondered if it is
indicative of incipient transmission problems? Also, I notice my odometer
suddenly changed from reading the actual vehicle mileage (approx. 127K) to
reading 1446.....and a capital letter T appeared which I have never before
seen. Think I’m right being a bit concerned about this?
The vehicle is a 2008 Ford F-150.
The bucking is likely caused by a clogged exhaust system, maybe a bad catalytic converter, or a fuel problem, like a clogged fuel filter or a fuel pump going out. The "T" in the mileage means "Trip". You somehow selected the trip odometer. Just set it back to the car mileage.
