I have a 2011 Hyundia sante fe wel maintained. Lately though when i try to start the engine it does not start-AAA came by and ran diagnostic test and said it was ok, battery and to start the car, which it started, 1 month later the engine won't start again-called AAA then waiting for an hour i tried 3 x to start the car on 3rd try it started- can somebody tell me what is happening? tks

It could be many things, from a faulty starter solenoid or dying starter, bad electrical connection or ground, faulty fuel pump or a dying fuel pump relay.

I am starting to have the same problem with the same year Santa fe 3.5 l engine(120 000km) and I suspect a low fuel presure on mine as it crank very good and at the same speed as before and I have no fuel smell on my oil. Also, my spark plugs were done only a month ago. Will know in 2 days when I bring it in for check up, no engine code so far.
