93 cadillac deville no start no crank

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After various trouble shooting I jumped the starter
relay and it cranked. So this should tell me I need a
new starter relay right? I installed a new relay and it
won't crank. Thinking the new relay might be bad
out of the box I  installed another and same deal.
No crank. When i jump the relay with a wire it
cranks.  It cranks and starts and stalls instantly .
Another issue I have is a new hissing sound
coming from 2 pink tubes near the staring column .
Not sure if that is related

I'm able to start it by jumping the starter relay behind the glove box . It stalls instantly. A new relay just clicks. Would the security issue your talking about allow the relay to be jumped into starting ? Do you think it's stalling instanty due to security issues? Would the actions your suggesting need to be handled with a caddy dealer?

Perhaps another thing I should add to this is over the course of about a week the no start went from starting "sometimes " and worked it's way to not starting at all. It would sometimes take several cranks but would finally start. And now it will only turn over by jumping the starter relay.
