Purchasing a 2011 Cadillac SRX with high mileage

I'm interested in purchasing a 2011 Cadillac SRX for
$5,500 however it has 147,000 miles on it. Not sure
whether I'll get the 5 years out of it that I need without
running into a ton of mechanical issues. Thoughts?

You have to estimate how many miles you drive a year, then multiple by 5. If you drive 10K a year, the car will have 200K on it. The caddy is at that age that you will be chasing mechanical issues and maybe major ones. If you want a vehicle to last 5 years without putting a lot of money in one, find one under 90K miles if you do the avg. 15K miles per year, and don't purchase a Cadillac.
I buy/drive high mileage vehicles and struggle to find the lowest trim level possible...just less to go wrong as it ages. Cadillacs are pretty technology-intensive.
