Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2007 manual shift transfer case , while
driving in 2wd my 4 hi light will flash and hubs will
try to engage , stop and check wires at pcm and
upon moving them will hear actuator clicking on
and off and 4hi light will come on and off , so must
be a bad wire as to new transfer case , New hub
assemblies new actuator new 4x4 shift indicator
switch , does wires from-shift indicator switch go
straight to pcm , trying to locate a possibly bad wire

Can’t think of anything else it could be , the wires I’m moving are where they plug into pcm from wire harness that I guess goes back to transmission

I would think there is a switch that is activated by the shift lever when you shift into 4WD. Perhaps it is faulty or out of adjustment.

Yeah it’s the shift indicator in the transfer case , yes something is got to be grounding because it’s sending to the vacuum actuator to lock the hubs in & lights up the instrument cluster 4 hi , when the transfer itself is still in 2wd , how would you adjust it ? And once it starts the faulting indicator I can mess with the wires coming into pcm and it will stop , got me puzzled , I don’t want to have to put a whole transmission harness in

Got me puzzled everything is new except the wiring ,
