02 Cadillac anti theft/power issues

Asked by Alexander Mar 27, 2020 at 06:30 PM about the 2002 Cadillac Seville SLS FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Okay, so let me begin by saying this is my fault. My
remote start wasn’t working so I decided to take
apart the dash under the steering wheel. I
accidentally connected a green and white wire with
a red wire. When I did this the car began to ding
rapidly and said “lights on” then everything went
off. Now, there is no power to anything and it won’t
start. The only thing there seems to be power too is
the car horn and the power seats. I am not sure but
I am thinking it has something to do with the anti
theft system. Please help... any thoughts...

Okay, So update. I apparently blew the main fuse, replaced it and she started right up!
