What is wrong with 2002 Cadillac Deville DHS won't start ?

I had a friend come over and look at my Deville to see why it wasn't starting
and he said he couldn't hear the fuel pump engaging when cranking the
car...What is your suggestion for resolve if possible...I'm on a fixed income
and would really hope to avoid the expensive mechanic shop in our area if
at all possible....I use my car to help disable people get around to shop etc.
as apart of my ministry....HELP PLEASE SOMEONE!.....Thank You and

Sorry Susie, but if it is the fuel pump it will have to be replaced. I would have the fuses and relays checked first. then have the fuel pressure tested. these things should diagnose if it is a fuel pump issue. the pump is likely in the tank, an experienced mechanic should handle it.
