Either you go threw the back end of the car to get to the sockets, or you may have to take the hole Tail light lens out.

open the rear hatch, pop open the 3 square covers hiding the 3 phillips head screws under them located by the rear hatch gasket next to the tail light assembly.. Remove the 3 screws. Gently pull the lens unit straight out . You may have to wiggle the lens as the pins holding it get stuck, Take your time, it will come out. The sockets holding the bulbs are removed by turning 1/4 turn counter clockwise. Bulb is removed by gently pushing into socket while gently turning 1/4 turn, then pulling the bulb out. Bulbs can break, so be careful. Be sure to wipe off bulbs to remove oils from touching.
