cranks but no start

I have a 2011 chevy Malibu that will crank but wont start. I changed the plugs and sprayed ether and was able to momentarily start it. I pulled the plugs and there isn't any indication of fuel getting to it. I turn on the car and can hear the fuel pump working and I checked/swapped relays to verify and it seems that everything works on that end but still no fuel. is there a safety switch that would stop the fuel from getting to the engine?

forgot to add that I do not see the anit theft light on with the key in the acc position only a check engine light comes on but after trying to read it it doesn't give me any codes

Probablely But what the fuel pressure ??does it run on starting fluid ?? If so it could be a fuel pump/ pressure regulator problem

i managed to get it to turn over for a few seconds with the pedal pressed all the way to the floor but it runs ruff and stalls. i will have to get a pressure tester to verify what the fuel pressure is in the morning and will update further. also as a back story my wife moved the car smelled something "funky" and shut it off wouldnt start since then.

My Malibu only started when it's cool at 4am or7pm. When it's 117 at3pm. I started it at 7pm drive a mile and it's good .the guy check Ed and said there no fuel pressure . But why would it start and run at 7pm when I have no plans to go out. Thanks

I even stopped by the dealer the manager said it was heat related and there's nothing wrong. Because 117 is hot for a car.
